Ohio Bicentennial Barn Locations
Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:43AM The following is a list of the barn locations as they were listed in 2002. I do not have a list of the barns that are missing or have been painted over. This list is a bit vague so please understand you may or may not be able to find some of these barns by using this list.
Special thanks to Mary Martha Questel of Portsmouth, Ohio for sending me this list! Even though I painted them all, I did not keep records in those days. The web site in which the locations used to be available is long gone.
I was 19 years old when I was hired to paint barns for the state of Ohio's upcoming 200 year anniversary. Several events took place and the grace of God to set things in motion for such a career in painting signs and artwork on barns began. You can find more information on my website, but thanks to my Dad, my grandfather, the Barnesville Enterprise (newspaper) Nichola Marretti, and Steve George for giving a kid a chance back in 1997!
